Would love to hear from anyone who attended this show. This place was small, and was a supper club at one point (remember those?); so small that even my dopey little rock cover band played a wedding reception here around the same time. I saw WR at the giant Mann in Philly just a month prior to this date. Building is long gone and the site is overgrown.
I was at this show. You’re right; it was a very small venue! The band was practically in our laps. It was an unforgettable evening. Though I’ve forgotten a lot 🙂
For me, the highlight was getting to see Birdland live. It was a favorite of mine, still newish at that point, and very exciting. I was probably 5 feet away from them. Unbelievable. I’m reminiscing today after reading about Wayne Shorter’s passing.
